Welcome to a world of Cartoons!

Go Cartoon with Narsi
is for all those who are interested in learning to draw cartoons in a most simplified way. Starting today, I am going to post  some simple steps to create a character every week. If you find them exciting please do follow regularly and discover some new skills in you.

For information, there's no age bar for these exercises. You might be a little one going to school , a teen, an adult trying to find some good break from those busy working hours or a retired person wishing to pick up a new skill. Go Cartoon with Narsi would be a new way to learn some art and the art of being an Artist!

Welcome aboard!

Often people wonder if it would be easy to create cute cartoon characters.
I would say that it's possible since an image happens first in your mind where there's no skill involved except you get drawn into a world of imagination.

What follows is the skill. People endowed with natural talent to draw get going in no time. But that's not the case with the ones who do not possess the inborn talent to draw freehand sketches. All they need to do is follow certain methods which would lead them towards the final form in a drawing. I thought the exercises which I will be sharing would make a good beginning to guide one towards building a new skill to draw.

Let's jump in!

Let's draw a Dog! But first you have to do a rough drawing.

Start with a small rectangle box and keep adding elements as shown above

Once the roughs are done start tracing over them by fine tuning them a bit. Once you're happy with the final drawing, you can add colour to the drawing.

Was it fun?  Drawing can be real fun when you take more interest in the subject and through sheer practice one can achieve the desired result.

Go ahead, practice this for a starter and will catch up again next week!

Best,
